ITIL | The Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a set of detailed practices for IT activities such as IT service management (ITSM) and IT asset management (ITAM) that focus on aligning IT services with the needs of business. ITIL describes processes, procedures, tasks, and checklists which are neither organization-specific nor technology-specific, but can be applied by an organization toward strategy, delivering value, and maintaining a minimum level of competency. It allows the organization to establish a baseline from which it can plan, implement, and measure. It is used to demonstrate compliance and to measure improvement. There is no formal independent third-party compliance assessment available for ITIL compliance in an organization. |
ISO 27000 | ISO 27000 refers to a family of international standards for information security management developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). These standards provide best practices for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an Information Security Management System (ISMS). ISO 27001 is the most well-known standard in this series, focusing on the requirements for an ISMS. Other standards like ISO 27002 and ISO 27005 provide detailed guidelines for controls and risk management. IPMA | The International Project Management Association (IPMA) is a Swiss-based, international organization for the promotion of project management. IPMA has developed a project management method under the same abbreviation (IPMA). You can be certified for this. The criteria for this may differ per country, but since 1999 they must meet the International Competence Baseline (ICB) drawn up by IPMA. It describes 20 technical competencies, 15 behavioral competencies and 11 contextual competencies. There are 4 certifications possible: Certified persons can have themselves included in a register. |
